A series of pictures showing the Avro Avian in the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. The Avro Avian was designed as a competitor to the De Havilland Moth series and was successfully used by a number of well-known pilots of the day to make record-breaking long distance flights.
This set includes cockpit interior pictures. Manchester Museum of Science and Industry has removed most of the cockpit instruments due to concerns over radiation hazards from the luminous dials. See below for a full list of views. |
