A series of pictures showing the Avro 504k in the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry.
This is a civil 3-seat version of the well-known trainer. The Avro 504k was built in great numbers during the First World War as a trainer for the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Naval Air Service. After the war many were converted to civilian use.
This set includes cockpit interior pictures. Manchester Museum of Science and Industry has removed most of the cockpit instruments due to concerns over radiation hazards from the luminous dials. See below for a full list of views. |
