A series of pictures showing the Spitfire in the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. This is a late-model MkXIV with clipped wingtips, a cut-down rear fuselage and a bubble canopy. The Supermarine Spitfire was a British high-performance fighter aeroplane flown by the Royal Air Force and allied air forces during World War Two.
